Consul General H.E.Mr.Javidan Huseynov met with the President of the Department of Civil Aviation of Sharjah Emirate H.E.Sheikh Khalid bin Issaam Al Qassimi.

On March 13, 2019, Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Dubai and Northern Emirates H.E.Mr.Javidan Huseynov met with the President of the Department of Civil Aviation of Sharjah Emirate H.E.Sheikh Khalid bin Issaam Al Qassimi.

Consul General J.Huseynov stressed that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of bilateral relations with United Arab Emirates. J.Huseynov emphasized the role of Sharjah Emirate in the scientific, cultural, educational and economic life of the country and underlined that under the leadership of H.E.Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi Sharjah Emirate continues to develop dynamically.

In his turn Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi added that Sharjah Emirate was selected by UNESCO as the World Book Capital for 2019 and on April 23, 2019, the opening ceremony of the "Sharjah World Book Capital - 2019" will be held in Sharjah's Al Majaz Amphitheatere.

At the meeting the sides also discussed the other issues of mutual interest.
