Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Dubai H.E.Mr.Javidan Huseynov met with Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, the Head of the Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai.
On the 24th of December 2018 Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Dubai H.E.Mr.Javidan Huseynov met with Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, the Head of the Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai.
At the meeting the sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation of the migration issues between Azerbaijan and United Arab Emirates, particularly with Dubai Emirate, as well as the results of the current year in the field of migration were discussed.
Consul General J.Huseynov spoke on the existence of the mutual, beneficial cooperation in various spheres including migration field between the two countries and noted that the bilateral cooperation was successfully continued and strengthened in the current year.
Furthermore J.Huseynov spoke on the recent steps taken by the Government of Azerbaijan to simplify the visa regime between the countries and underlined the increase in the number of people travelling to Azerbaijan. Consul General J.Huseynov noted that from 26 of July 2018 the visa issuance for the residents of the United Arab Emirates has been started at the airports of Azerbaijan and he underlined that now UAE residents can easily travel to Azerbaijan and obtain tourist visas to our country at the airport in Baku as well as other international airports of Azerbaijan.
In his turn, Major General Al Marri stressed with satisfaction the existence of strong ties between the UAE and Azerbaijan and noted the intensification in the relations between the countries over the last years.
He especially noted that the steps taken by Azerbaijan to facilitate the visa regime were praiseworthy and it was a significant contribution to the development of tourism between the two countries. Major General Al Marri underlined that Azerbaijan has become one of the main tourist destinations of UAE.
At the end of the meeting Consul General J.Huseynov expressed gratitude to Major General Al Marri for his sincere and warm welcome and invited him to visit Azerbaijan.
